monochrome comic featuring Father Alexander Anderson and Enrico Maxwell from the series Hellsing and my OC Esther. Part 1 Esthers hands are chained as she is seemingly taken away by two priests. She behind her shoulder with a scared look on her face, muttering "...father". Anderson waves at her with a smile on his face, reassuring her "I know you'll do great, my dove. Don't fret". The priests holding onto Esther seem impatient and tell Esther "This way, stop stalling" and push her forward. She turns her face away from Anderson and mumbles "ah- yes, sir; sorry" Anderson silently watches them leave; his smile drops and he frowns.
Part 2 Maxwell walks up beside him, wearing a sly grin on his face. "A chance for absolution... How gracious of Section IX. I'd have expected there to be more voices demanding her death..." Maxwell keeps talking while Anderson just silently glares in his direction. "...but you actually managed to make a deal! Isn't this great? What has you so worked up then, teacher?"
Part 3 As Anderson and Maxwell walk through a corridor, their conversation continues. Anderson: "You think I should be happy? I just offered up my child to the slaughter." Maxwell: "As did Abraham, no?*" Anderson: "... so you propose this a trial from God." Maxwell: "Depending on the results, she might well be a blessing. A tool, gifted to us by the Lord. *Maxwell is referring to the Binding of Isaac; a story in the Bible, in which God tests Abrahams faith by ordering him to sacrifice his beloved son Isaac. Abraham is stopped just as he was about to kill Isaac and promised a great reward for his obedience.
Part 4 A montage with various depictions of Esther being painfully experimented on and abused by scientists. A dark cloud of barely readable words crosses through (the text is supposed to be Esther desperately reassuring herself by citing from James 1 - a speech about endurance). Meanwhile Anderson and Maxwell are still talking. Maxwell: "...and if she's as special as you say, we may even have a new weapon at our hands." Anderson: "...I'd rather not have her fight." Maxwell: "Mah... this might not be for you to decide." Anderson: "I am aware". Maxwell: "A docile vampire is a rare opportunity to learn more about their biology. *laughing* It's now wonder Section IX was so eager to get her hands on it. You always speak so highly of the little girl. Survi--ahem... Behaving for 40 days should be no problem, right?"
