I actually started #Hyperion, and I'm educated enough to recognize that the structure is based on the Canterbury Tales, but I haven't actually read them. I wonder what other references I might be missing.

I could never figure out how a guy who wrote a book like #Hyperion could wind up getting radicalized, but anyway the quality of that book is undeniable. Easily one of the best “space opera’s” of all time.
