Darin ging es um die Frage, ob sich im Zentrum unserer Galaxie wirklich ein Schwarzes Loch befindet, eine extreme Krümmung der Raumzeit also, der nicht einmal Licht entkommen kann. Oder verbirgt sich dort, in 26.000 Lichtjahren Entfernung, vielleicht doch etwas ganz anderes? In dem verlinkten Bericht war von "etwas noch viel Dunklerem" die Rede – nämlich der ominösen Dunklen Materie. Ob die wirklich noch dunkler ist als ein Schwarzes Loch, darüber kann man zwar streiten. Denn bisher weiß niemand, ob es sie überhaupt gibt, und wenn ja, was sich physikalisch dahinter verbirgt. Aber die Idee fand ich interessant: Könnte es sein, dass das Zentrum der Milchstraße in Wahrheit ganz anders aussieht als gedacht?
