Forcing myself to sit down and design something on the #modwave today.
Does it feel good to create something fresh? Yes.
Is this still wildly difficult because of everything going on in the world? Also very much yes.

Did another take of today’s track because the attempt from earlier didn’t have a long enough tail end to account for how long the sound hangs on due to the delay parameter after I turned off the Hold button on the #modwave.
I felt more locked in and I enjoy this version much more so far

Mission for the rest of the week is a lot of #modwave and #multi/poly sound design. I’m very much in the mood for some big, lush #drone work, but not necessarily of the sort given to me by the #wavestate. wavestate and I need a little pause because I feel stuck in a corner there.

Almost done a new #wavestate patch. Been able to dive back in to things now that I’m not needing to watch over my kitty like a hawk as she nears the end of her recovery period.
Hoping to have a new YouTube video maybe tomorrow night, then I think it’s time to bring the #modwave out of hiding.

The FX choice on the modwave, and the overall warmth and calm from the multi/poly really paint the sonic picture

Did more than preliminary work and there’s something at about 9:35-9:40 and I’m not 100% sure if it’s wavetable grit or very slight clipping.
I’m leaning towards grit, but I’m going to record another take with some of the oomph taken out of the #modwave as well as from the interface (couple dB).

I promised a video demoing the combo of Poly6 Ensemble and a massive reverb working together on the #modwave to generate a pseudo-choral effect.
Well, here it is. The dry sound of the wavetables gets a very analog string feel to it, and the reverb tail generates the vocal quality.
