Yamaha SC-600 solid body 3 pickup electric guitar owned by Kenny Loggins. This Yamaha SC600 solid body, electric guitar was made in Japan in 1982. It comes with a letter of authenticity from Kenny Loggins (on "Higher Vision - A Kenny Loggins Company" stationary), an autographed photograph, guitar technician notes, and a copy of our original bill of sale. We have not modified anything on the guitar. It's in the exact state that Kenny last played it. It comes with the original hard shell case which has roadie notes/references taped to it still. The case is missing on latch but closes and locks fine. Description from VintageSilvertones.com

This is a Kay K573-Speed Demon, shaded walnut finish/tobaccoburst, hollow body, electric guitar made by Kay of Chicago, IL circa 1962. This is a player’s grade guitar or beginning collector’s model. It works and sounds great but has been sanded and played for many years. The Speed Demon models were offered between 1960 and 1966 in various department store catalogs catalogs and sold under the Kay brand. The unlabeled headstock means this was sold through a department store like Dillards or another of the long-ago closed chains. Similar models were sold by Sears but they are very rare. The Kay-branded models had crown-style headstock versus the paddle/hockey-stick-style on this model. The only other significant difference is the knobs. This guitar has large black plastic/bakelite knobs with a chrome top versus Kay’s white knobs. Description from VintageSilvertones.com

BURNS-BALDWIN: SPLIT SOUND JAZZ GUITAR - MODEL 503 - 1965
This an incredibly beautiful Burns-Baldwin Split Sound Jazz Guitar. It's in near-mint condition and sounds amazing. The are a couple of minor dings but nothing significant. All the electronics work perfectly. The serial number is 115xx and it's made in England at the original Burns London factory.

The Split Sound Jazz Guitars came into the Burns line in 1962. They were Jim Burn's answer to the Stratocaster. This is a solid body guitar with a double-cut-away similar to the Bison. This model is a 1965. It's one of the last original Burns guitars. You can tell that because the Burns logo was cut out of the pickguard and replaced with a Baldwin during the first year. They used the remaining Burns inventory before beginning their own/joint production.

The Split Sound has three pickups which are controlled by the standard tone and volume controls along with a four position, pickup switch that varies from the tone from Split-sound, Jazz, Treble, and Wild Dog. All the control knobs are heavy metal. The pick ups are Burns Split Sounds which have six poles and are divided between the bass and treble sides. They attain their characteristic sound by splitting the pickups to upper and lower strings when set to Split Sound. The Wild Dog setting gives an out-of-phase sound. It's one of the earliest guitars to offer this feature. The guitar also has a very unique Series 2 vibrato which is a combination of Jazzmaster and Bigsby styles. A sophisticated, low-key monochrome study of frozen shards on the Rooster River. Using a Silvertone aesthetic, the image emphasizes tonal depth over harsh contrast. The ice fragments possess a metallic, crystalline luster, with sharp edges glowing against deep, textured shadows. The composition is an abstract expression of winter's fragility and the internal "brittleness" of the season, rendered with a professional, silver-gelatin finish.

Made of Glass. The Rooster River has turned to shards, and honestly, I feel just as brittle. This winter has been brutal, & today I needed the camera to show the cold I’m carrying on the inside. ❄️🖤

Silvertone 1454 electric guitar 3 pickups, Bigsby tail piece made in Chicago 1965. This is a 1965 Silvertone 1454L thinline, semihollow body, single-cutaway, redburst, electric guitar made by Harmony of Chicago. The pickups are DeArmonds (Rowe) and have a date stamp of January 8, 1965. You can hear this guitar played on Bob Dylan's album "Modern Times"; check out the inner sleeve of the CD cover for a photo of it in the guitarist hands.

The guitar is completely original. It has a Bigsby vibrato. The body is maple. The details on this guitar are beautiful; check out the rosewood (Brazilian, presumably) supports for the pickups or the tortoise shell pickguard and plate for the pickup switches! The neck is straight but it has some playing wear on the back. It has mother of pearl inlays in the fretboard. All the electronics work properly and it was just set up so the action is fast. It's got the usual wear for a guitar this age; there's some very minor crazing (finish cracks) and a few nicks here and there but overall it's extremely clean. There's some minor wear on the chrome on the pickups but you'll have to look closely to notice it. It has a great tonal range between the three pickups and all the possible combinations. Each pickup has it's own on/off switch so there a nice range of sounds: rock, country, punk, jazz, etc. It comes with a chipboard case but will be packed extremely well. This is a 1967 Silvertone made by Danelectro's Coral division. This is the higher-end two pick up amp-in-case model. It's the one of the last Danelectro's made for Sears. The guitar has two lipstick pickups. This model came with an amp-in-case but is NOT included.

This guitar is in excellent condition for it's age. There are a few nicks and the finish is cracking in places but that only adds to it's character. All the electronics work properly and it ROCKS! Plus it's got two Danelectro Lipstick pickups for that rocking vintage sound. The neck is straight. The body style is similar to a Jaguar. Description from VintageSilvertones.com

JG (Julio Giulietti) Circa 1965

JG (Julio Giulietti) electric guitar, 2 pickup, redburst double cutaway, hollowbody, with tremolo tailpiece, made in Italy circa 1965. This is a JG guitar made by Italian accordion manufacturer, Juilo Giulietti, when rock and roll and the demand for electric guitars took off in the mid 1960's. It is a beautiful, fully bound, hollow body, two single coil pickup, bolt-on neck instrument with a redburst finish. It features a fully adjustable bridge, a tremolo tailpiece, two bound f-holes and a black, floating pickguard. There have been some modifications to the tuning machines and the pickups; however, this guitar is in good condition and ready to play a myriad of styles. The action is fast and the neck feels fantastic in your hand. In addition, the JG guitar simply sounds wonderful. Description from VintageSilvertones.com

A vertical black-and-white photograph of two seagulls in flight, edited with a bright, luminous Silvertone finish. The composition features one gull banked high in the frame and another gliding level below it. The background is a seamless, high-key blend of misty sky and shimmering water, stripped of heavy greys to create a silver, ethereal atmosphere. The birds appear as sharp, dark anchors against the brilliant, pale landscape, emphasizing a sense of cold, quiet grace.

Henry Beston,The Outermost House, wrote about seeing animals as equals:
"They are not brethren, they are not underlings; they are other nations, caught with ourselves in the net of life and time, fellow prisoners of the splendour and travail of the earth."
