An important part of my security model is to get rid of garbage user mode tls stacks everywhere and do zero-knowledge trust networking with #tailscale / #wireguard for local resources, and do public connections thru a proxy. Security should be simple and automatic as infrastructure by default..
To do a new security model I need to know if a given connection address is programmatically local to my subnet, is reachable thru a secured vpn connection like #tailscale and #wireguard, or public and perhaps should be auto proxied thru tor or a gateway sock server automatically.

Anyone using a 3rd party SSO Identity Provider for their #homelab or family? I started down this rabbit hole with looking at providers for #tailscale which include Okta and OneLogin (as well as Github, Google, Apple, and Microsoft) and I was considering a OneLogin... thoughts?

Hooked Jellyfin up to my Tailscale instance to allow remote connections to the media library.
It worked marvelously.

Interesting. Tailscale webapp UI doesn't allow me to connect Synology to the mesh after re-authentication anymore. What helps is SSH into the NAS and running 'sudo tailscale up' with re-authentication in the terminal. Something has changed.

#Tailscale is such an integral and invaluable tool for me now I simply would not be able to accomplish anything I do now without it.
No port forwarding, no per-service DNS records. Just Tailscale + a wildcard cert on Route53 & Let's Encrypt. Add a service, update the Caddyfile. Done.

am I the only one constantly kicked out from Google accounts, sometime LinkedIn as well and Slack? I think it is caused by #vpn in particular #tailscale with exit node enabled. I am moving in between exit node more often than usual those days.
