Yliopisto keksi keinon tavoittaa hakijat, jotka ovat aliedustettuina opiskelijoiden joukossa Hakuväylä tulee ainakin aluksi luokanopettajakoulutukseen, varhaiskasvatukseen ja sosiaalityöhön. Jos väylä osoittautuu toimivaksi, se saatetaan ottaa käyttöön laajemmin.

Tämä on hyvä uutinen, vaikka on vähän harhaanjohtava väittää, että se olisi Suomen ensimmäinen hakuväylä S2-puhujille — itse pääsin @utu.fi:n SUMA-ohjelmaan vuonna 2016, eikä tuo edes läheskään ensimmäinen hakuvuosi ollut.
