The interior of the Wizardry is beautiful: stone, wood and cobwebs, as well as a few artefacts left behind by previous adventurers. Beyond this door could be a treasure or just another place to add to the collection of skeletons on the floor.

Look who's back! The big voidling knight Nichtus! Don't mind his deaths thus far, he keeps coming back from the void, he's used to it by now, after getting insta-limbo'd after a TPK in SNES Wizardry1. Fun times.
So, I finally got Wizardry 1 Proving Grounds remake on sale few days ago, and last night started playing it, finally.
Discovered the game currently supports custom unit portraits, and I had to halfass my own bois, of course!

Oh gosh, I finally completed Wizardry Gaiden 3. While the base game is very good, there's a harsh difficulty spike at the end.
But the postgame extra dungeon is just frigging HELL!
Cool that I got to defeat my evil lord main character from Wiz2, but GOSH, these fights sucked...

I'll not lie, this might have been the weakest game of the franchise on the story/lore side. When I realized all the grinding was rewarded with nothingburger for story progression, I just rushed to get it over with. 😑
