I have had a terrible time finding an ID for this butterfly. The butterfly was fast moving & did not stay in my garden long. The picture has been enlarged & cropped. Maybe someone here knows what kind it is?

An unidentified winged insect on a window.
Anyone out there in the bug world able to identify this little fella? Didnt quite look like a wasp, didnt quite look like a beetle. Had a transparent part of its abdomen. It was captured under a glass and released safely outside after this picture was taken.

Hi, folks, hoping someone out there can #bugID this #insect for me. Some sort of wasp? I've seen a few of them lately, in my bathroom. They seem to have very poor vision and are easy to kill, but I have no idea where they're coming from. The yellowish stuff is very old expanding foam sealant.
A close up of a big, fat fly resting on some worn, wooden patio furniture.
What type of fly is this? I don't think I like it.

The strange looking fly from the back.
Same fly from the side.
Same fly from the front.
I saw this strange looking fly a while back and I don't even know where to start with an ID.
Any tips would be appreciated.

Thoughts on who this little guy is? There were lots of him in the water at Nahant Beach so they are Atlantic dwellers. Best we came up with is an isopod but no idea what kind. They attached to our clothing #bugid
A possible native Carolina mantis in a cup with paper underneath.
The possible Carolina mantis is perplexed by the glass containing it. The photo is a fairly up close shot of its face and hunting forearms.
A full body photo of the possible Carolina mantis.
Excuse me sir or madam but I do not require your services indoors. You’re ginormous when and how did you get inside anyway? Unless there’s another gray-brown mantis species here I think it’s a Carolina mantis? Caught the booger on my dresser in the bedroom. #mantis #bug #bugid
A close up photo of a (probably) Hentz orbweaver spider that’s mostly shades of warm brown and tan with delicate faded markings. The window is quite dirty & filled with webbing.

I’m pretty sure this lady is a Neoscona crucifera (Hentz Orbweaver) though I welcome correction. Otherwise I’ll never be good at spider ID!
She moved into my window a couple nights ago and is HUGE. We’ve had a massive spider population explosion.
I think it’s a fly, but it is covered in long golden hairs, has super long legs, a long fixed proboscis, translucent wings, red compound eyes. It’s kind of beautiful and kind of cute, very round and fuzzy, a little bigger than a house fly. Seen in central Michigan, USA. I’m sorry the picture is terrible, my phone is not good at this and he kept moving.
Sorry for the terrible quality of this picture, but can anyone identify this guy? He has super long, skinny legs and was drinking at our meadow flowers. I’m pretty sure he’s a fly. I generally pay attention to insects and I’ve never seen anything like him. #insect #bugid #fly #whatsthisbug
...this isn't a weird color of royal walnut moth caterpillar is it??? That's "hickory horned devil" for my fellow southerners. Or a younger instar? #bugID It's the little backward pointing head horns alongside the body spikes that makes me wonder...but it's no color I've ever seen & no red.

Anyone good at spider ID know what kind this? Maybe a male crab spider of some sort?

It’s a big ole’ black beetle from the side/too.

A big ole black beetle held like a muppet and it’s pretty put out about it. You can see its fuzzy underside.
If not friend why friend shaped?
I -love- big beetles. There’s just something about that perfect design. Maybe a type of darkling beetle? #bugid #beetleid 🪲
Just found A BUNCH of these in my Giant Millipede (Spiropoeus fischeri) enclosure! 🥰
No idea what type of isopod it is. This seems to be full size (there are loads of babies too)
Food/substrate in milli enclosure is the isopod mix from Josh’s Frogs. 🤷♀️

98%sure these aren't box elder bug #nymphs. I know they're not spotted lantern fly nymphs, nor assassin bug babies. Markings feel wrong for #milkweed bugs. Larger ones have clear wings.
Tearing out weeds, don't want to yank anyone out who belongs. I can wait.

An insect on a yarrow leaf. It is mostly black body narrow body that is smaller than a penny. It's last body segment is brownish orange with a sharp oviposition. It's antennae have a while spot midway
Check out this insect! I've never seen a wasp like this!
I think it's Mesostenus genus

Apologies for the low quality photos, but does anyone have an idea of the family/subfamily this beetle belongs to? 🪲
It’s for a student who is currently illustrating it, no location data of course :’)
