By 1990, #JimmyBarnes got a haircut 😄😄 but he was still trying to conquer America with anthemic stadium rock which he had failed to do with his first two solo albums post #ColdChisel

His album TWO FIRES also failed to "charm America". This power ballad off it is a standout.

Recorded in 2024, this live performance of CRY ME A RIVER by #ColdChisel guitarist & "occasional" lead singer #IanMoss proves that at around 71 years of age (69 years then) he can still pick a guitar damn good & hit the high notes too. Soul & blues always influenced him a lot.

#ColdChisel 's Barking Spiders Live album is epic OZ pub rock, with YOU'VE GOT NOTHING I WANT, first released off their album CIRCUS ANIMALS, reaching "hard rock proportions".

#JimmyBarnes wrote the song as "payback" aimed at a US promoter who done the dirty on the band. 😯😯😄😄

Such a Beautiful Thing YouTube video by Ian Moss - Topic

#IanMoss undoubtedly is one of Australia's best ever rock guitarists. But he is also a great singer who sang lead vocals for some of #ColdChisel' s most iconic songs, like MY BABY.

After Chisel's demise, he reemerged with a solo album MATCHBOX in 1989.

This is a great song.

Men At Work - Down By The Sea (1982) YouTube video by MuchachaDeAyer

#MenAtWork were a unique Australian band. Definitely not pub rock like #ColdChisel or #TheAngels, not punk or new wave either. They developed a sound that evolved coincidently.

#ColinHay and #GregHam were the two "integral members".

This song of MAW is most underrated to me.

This has to be one of the most underrated #ColdChisel songs going. Definitely has never been played on the radio.

Like most Chisel songs, it was written by #DonWalker, but the member of the band who makes it "special" is #IanMoss with one of his very best guitar performances.

Going right back to the very very beginning of #ColdChisel, Australia's most iconic rock band.

From 1976 it is H-HOUR HOTEL. A demo song which never got an upgrade, tacked onto the band's very first album.
