A macro photo of the front of a gray/green praying mantis. THe mantis's head is triangular, it's large eyes are gray mottled with black, it's head is gray with mottled green and some black. The ocelli, primitive eyes are arranged in an inverted triangular pattern in the center of the head. The slender gray antennae extend towards the camera. The mantid's raptorial arms and pronotum, the area just behind the head, are colored gray with mottled light green and some black markings, a very lichen-like color and pattern which aids concealment.
