Today I helped a student calculate into negative numbers - her 1st time. We talked about cold mornings frosty grass being 1°C or zero, and how even colder was one use of negative numbers. I drew a number line and, hey presto, she solved 13-17 correctly. Woo-hoo 🙌

Tried something different for a client today with ASD, ADHD, Dyslexia, Dysgraphia & possibly Dyscalculia.
Whilst they really enjoy number-wheels, as we are still working on handwriting I felt this was a better option.
