Being a client in #therapy with selective #mutism can be hard. Either you work so hard to speak that you lack the bandwidth to remember what was said, or you lose time waiting for your speech to unlock again. I've had clients like this and offer alternatives, including saving chat box text.

Gestures are AAC. #signlanguage is not AAC. Sign languages are languages. #AAC is any alternative way of communicating in a language. Regardless of the #language I use, I will always be an #AACuser. Like #English, #BSL has language components that I am not able to produce. #mute #mutism #speechloss
