Yet another neat feature of my #orgmode #lazyblorg #staticwebsitegenerator: text snippets you can re-use all over your articles. ✂️

@luca My usual #knowledgemanagement, of course.

Same with #readlater, shopping lists, wishlists, film tipps, recipes, contact management, ...

Why does it need spacial apps for each small use-case? 🤷

Did you choose poorly with your #PIM? 🤔

If you really need my recommendation: #orgmode […]

I've been intrigued by #OrgSocial so I thought I'd set up an official social.org file for #Orgro:

https://orgro.org/social.org

orgro.org is hosted on GitHub Pages and unfortunately they serve .org files as Content-Type: application/vnd.lotus-organizer of all things 😵‍💫 Browsers seem to treat […]

#orgmode was made in 2003??? it's one of those rock solid no-bullshit great things that i would have assumed was made in the 70's or 80's

Sometimes I wish #OrgMode could do quotes and code like Markdown, all those "#BEGIN_QUOTE" and "#+BEGIN_SRC elisp" lines can really fatten up an entry so I can't see as much of other entries.

My #orgdown static website generator #lazyblorg learned lots of new tricks lately:

- ultracool #TagTree navigation 🏷️
- Atom feeds for single tags and combination of 2 #tags! 🔖
- share on Mastodon :mastolove:
- "random articles published on the same day" 🎲
- published on pypi 🐍
- popular […]

Has anybody ever written a conversion tool from the #orgmode syntax by #logseq to a cleaner version of #orgmode syntax for Emacs?

Background: logseq has a unique interpretation of the #orgdown syntax as each element is also a heading on its own (in order to allow element references) […]

Public service announcement for those writing anonymous referee report in #Emacs #OrgMode: (setq org-hyperref-template "") stops Org Mode from adding your name and other identifying characteristics to the exported PDF's metadata.

@oantolin Well, I haven't used any #staticwebpage generator except my own: #lazyblorg.

The reason why I programmed my own generator was that I could not get the features I wanted to have anywhere else:

- blog posts anywhere I like them: among my tasks/projects/contacts/...
- absolute minimal […]

Why do I keep seeing people that use #Emacs #OrgMode with an external static website generator, usually Hugo, to make a website? Is there something wrong with the org-publish subsystem that comes with org-mode? It seems to work well to me.

Or maybe there's nothing wrong per se with org-publish […]

I compiled #Emacs master to test a pull request that @minad made to embark, and I found my Emacs pretty unusable because org-ql didn't work, but fortunately that turned out to have a one letter fix! I had not realized how much I rely on #OrgMode and org-ql at work.

#Emacs: After successfully testing it a few times, I just released an extension of the code which visualizes the current #orgdown sub-hierarchy only.

I've added both (visualize sub-hierarchy + whole file) to my #orgmode hydra.

I think the […]

I just published my newest project that visualizes #orgdown (#Emacs #orgmode syntax) files in a web browser:

I implemented org-babel support for 3 array languages I like a lot: Goal¹, BQN² and growler/k³. These languages are great for data munging so I find it very handy to use them in #OrgMode to process data stored in org tables. You can grab my implementations from my Emacs configuration at […]

Reminds me of "Dominik's tenth rule: Any sufficiently complicated #PIM or note-taking program contains an ad hoc, informally specified, bug-ridden, slow implementation of half of #Orgmode."

Today they're adding a CLI.

Next a REPL.
