This fits in a convo on #PlaceValue. you can’t have a single number (symbol) in two places at once. A 5 cannot be 5 ones and also 5 tens. Some ‘one’ else has to hold that spot.
And I remind, 1 in the hundreds obscures the work of 99 others doing what they can from where they’re at.
