Half Road, half trail, half marathon - Sunday long run up into the hills. Met some local deer on the way down who were so amazed to see a human run with such grace and elegance that they leapt for joy 😂 #RunningPunks

I tried for a sub-2:30 HM for years then finally got 2:25:30 last month. #bathhalf today and 02:17:24! Very happy. And look at my negz! Look at them!! Yes I know I dropped off a bit at the very end but some sadist put a hill right in the bloody way #running #runningpunks

Second Run, Recovery
A run club mate is training for our Bienwald Backyard Ultra in Summer. He started at 5:00 and I run his last lap with him km 45 to km 51,5. He needed some motivation and we had a nice conversation.

First minute is fine and fun, second minute feels hard and the last minute is done by mind. The body tried to convince me to stop.

Oopsie. On the taper before next weekend’s HM. Ran my plan’s 40 min base then tacked on another 20 min for a 10k. Once the plan was satisfied, put the metal down and earned a new PB. #running #runsky #runningpunks

A steady #Parkrun sandwich with my bairn. Felt stiff and sluggish by the end after a bit of a crap week. A welcome cuppa and bacon roll was a fine way to round it off though.
