Vertically: frequency, logarithmically spaced, from 20 Hz at the bottom to 20 kHz at the top, for a sampling rate of 44.1 kHz. Luminance: 0.5 dB per 8-bit step. The CQSDFT here is the Hann window version, Q = 74 (very high).

I found a nice improvement to the Constant-Q Sliding DFT¹.
Using single precision calculation (32-bit float) generates some remanent noise because of the recursive nature of the algorithm: a running sum combined with complex rotations.

Another piece of spectrogram. This is the first track on my album - a section that includes the Behringer Solina, an emulation of the classic "Jean-Michel Jarre strings". The slow wave of darkness is caused by the Smallstone phaser effect.

Audacity でノイズを低減してスペクトログラムを表示させた。 過去の録音からヤブサメのさえずりは 8,200〜9,000 Hz にあることが分かっており、今回の録音にヤブサメのさえずりが含まれることを確認できた。
マイフィールド２へヤブサメを探しに通っていて、本日ようやくそれらしき小さな声を聞き、聞こえにくくなったんじゃないよね、遠くで鳴いているだけだよねと心の中で繰り返しながらＩＣレコーダーに録音した。
その場で再生してもヤブサメの声が聞こえないため、帰宅して Audacity でスペクトログラムを表示させると 8,500〜9,000 Hz に音があり、ヤブサメの声と確認できた。
ということで今年もヤブサメの声が聞こえた。バンザイ。
それにしても遠かったな。
