A image from a few years ago, on a day I clearly remember. We were on holiday in Tuscany and out driving when we noticed the most amazing clouds and a rainbow. The light was beautiful so we pulled over so we could enjoy and photograph it. In the bottom of the image are rolling fields so typical of the Tuscan landscape, they are beautiful shades of green enhanced by the patterns the clouds are casting upon them. One large and fabulously shaped cloud is central in the sky and the sun is reflecting off it. The rainbow is off to the left and there is a line blue sky on the horizon.

Dark, dramatic mammatus clouds hang low in a grey stormy sky, their rounded, pouch-like formations creating an eerie texture. Bare tree branches stretch across the top edge of the frame, silhouetted against the clouds. The image has a moody, monochrome feel with soft gradients of grey and strong atmospheric tension.

After the heavy shower passed yesterday at RSPB Ham Wall we were left we these amazing clouds rolling over.

The inclusion of the branches just creeping into frame was deliberate.
