Most voters would expect the same.

16 years ago, Ann Arbor City Council failed to approve The Moravian, a five-story apartment building well south of downtown. It would have been near South Main Market and other 1-3 story buildings, across from a lumberyard.

I went to a community open house for the visioning process for the future of N. Main St. I brought up points salient for my experience living off a side street of Main and it felt like my thoughts were appreciated by the reps. The session was well advertised and pretty well attended! #a2council

The toxicity of national politics has thoroughly poisoned campaign discourse, & many voters are primed to be suspicious of candidates' motives.
Some candidates & their supporters feel compelled (knowingly or otherwise) to prey upon such suspicions.
I'd like to see that stop here in A².

Focusing on explaining actionable plans for implementing their own policy ideas would be nice too.

There isn't just one solution to #A2Council housing crisis. Ann Arborites struggling to stay here need protection. And we need more options for people of all incomes; a housing shortage means that the wealthy will take what they can get and the poor will be displaced. "Protection and production."
