『キングダムハーツ チェインオブメモリーズ』の21周年。GBAで登場した『KH』シリーズ初の携帯機作品。通称『CoM』。ナンバリングではなく外伝…だがシナリオは『KHI』のエンディング後からそのまま繋がり、本作のラストが『KHII』に続くため本作を飛ばすとあとが大変。

基本はアクションRPGなのだが『カード』を用いた戦闘が最大の特徴。敵味方のほぼすべての行動が『カード』として扱われ、その数字の大きい攻撃の方が常に優先して発動するシステム。動かすだけならシンプルだが極めようとすると奥深い。クリア後はデッキ固定かつ高難易度なリク編も解禁されたっぷり遊べる。
