4 screenshots of icons-only task manager pane in KDE Plasma in different moments in time. There are two PhpStorm icons that correspond to stable and EAP releases. The highlight that shows which one is running is swapping randomly, even though only EAP is being executed. I can't believe that two absolute basic #PhpStorm features I daily drive (debugging lazy objects and HTTP client) have been broken for **months** and nobody seems to care the least.

Debug pane in PhpStorm. Execution is paused at composer.phar:14 but the variables pane shows "Can't compute source position. The script 'composer.phar' isn't associated with any text file type."

Today's realisation in #PhpStorm is that the "Missing parameter's type declaration" may or may not detect missing parameter type declarations. This is the Schrodinger's IDE. There is not a single deterministic feature.

If you are using #ddev & the ddev #phpstorm extension on #bluefin you need to install nss-tools with rpm-ostree to get mkcert to work correctly, and in PHPStorm point the extension to the ddev binary in /var/home/linuxbrew/.linuxbrew/bin/ddev #php
Another year of support from #JetBrains providing a free licence for their IDE suite. They have supported the project for 6 years now.

I recently updated #PHPStorm to #IntelliJ IDEA Ultimate while replacing UptimeRobot.com. I created a #Go with #Wails desktop app that checks my web servers every minute. PHPStorm got me really far with Go. Ultimate got me helpers like structure, code formatting, and code hints for both #PHP and Go!

#JetBrains issue tracker now has an AI assistant enabled by default that tries to drive you crazy by interrupting you continuously while you try to type.

This is getting freaky. The (obviously AI assisted) autocomplete in my PHP editor ( #phpStorm by @jetbrains.com ) is predicting 3/4 of the lines I’m about to type. Picking up my variables, predicting functions I'm going to use and code structures.
