Various ships: two larger ones with a couple of hoisted sails, one rowing boat with several men rowing, and one small ship with one man in the boat and two standing in the water. They must be close to the beach as they are only up to their ankles in water. On the horizon (about 1/4 from the bottom of the drawing) small upright strokes suggest more ships further out.
