This aircraft flew the last ever RAF Spitfire sortie, and was then sold to the Thai government. Out of box build.

#HistScaleModels #ScaleModels Need advice. I'm trying my first airplane that has inset windows instead of a canopy. I'm using Micro Crystal Clear, but it squeezes out no matter how little I apply. When I use a wet Q-tip to remove it, it smears and will not clean up. All my windows fogged. Help.

All painted up, decals to go. Prior to paint and varnish it sat on three wheels...now it won't which is annoying as I put more weight in than suggested. Saying that the weights are placed more mid section than in the actual nose section. #histscalemodels #scalemodels

Here is my build of Eduards 1/48 Grumman F4F-3 Wildcat.
I've finished it as white section leader, VF-41 deployed on board USS Ranger, Dec 1940.
VF-41 & VF-71 on board USS Wasp (black tails) were the first units to operate the new Grumman monoplane fighters🙂

Had a bit of a seam to fill at the front of the glacis plate so need to touch up that and resist the temptation to go mad with the weathering. On track for a weekend finish. #t62 #scalemodels #messy

Some early cockpit progress on the DBMK 1/32 Sea Fury. Overall, though, this is one of the most detailed and parts-heavy out-of-the-box cockpits I've encountered, and there's quite a way to go yet!

I was wrong about the rollers replacing the lights on the bottom. These light reflectors show even UNDERNEATH the Dalek will look accurate (and cool!).

54mm white metal models of an Officer and Sergeant from the 33rd Regiment of Foot during the Crimean War, 1854. Painted with acrylics.
Pretty happy with the figures. Now to try and tie them in with groundwork and a bit of experimental scratch building. I wasn’t game to prime with the airbrush so applied Mr Surfacer 1500 Mahogany with a brush. We’ll see how it turns out. #histscalemodels #scalemodels
