Even when there's a lot of violence, I almost *never* go into any detail that isn't strictly necessary (for example, Epoch of the Promise: Dawn Unseen features a huge amount of violence, war, massacre, etc, but almost NO detail AT ALL).
Other novels are very tame.

Depending on the story, there are fights, battles or wars and people die. I don't want unnecessary/nasty details or protas with joy in killing in my stories, but include the other side of the coin: the impact of those experiences on body and mind, like trauma, PTSD, injuries, loss.
