Something that made #HungerActionMonth at PORCH so special was the huge impact food drives made! Along with installing compost bins at our office, Polk's Eagle Scout project included a food drive that ended up bringing in a record-breaking 1,900 pounds of food! 💚
During #HungerActionMonth, nearly 300 lbs of food was donated—enough for 250 meals for New Yorkers we serve!

WOW! We're looking back at #HungerActionMonth and we are BEYOND THANKFUL! With a record breaking amount of food donated, more than 50 new faces, and literal TONS of yummy fresh produce distributed, we can feel how much our community cares. Now, onto October!
Roughly 50 MILLION Americans, more than a quarter of whom are children, face hunger. This is the highest rate in over a decade, and it will continue to escalate unless we work together in the fight against hunger.
